These Terms and Service (\"Terms\") govern your use of the Novelshift website and your booking of any book listed for sale through it. By checking the \"I accept the Terms and Service\" box during checkout, you agree to be bound by everything below. If you do not agree, please do not complete a booking.\n\n## 1. What Novelshift Is\n\nNovelshift is a small, single-title storefront that lets visitors reserve a physical copy of a book for purchase. Payment is collected in cash at the time of delivery (\"Cash on Delivery\" or \"COD\") — no online payment is processed through this website.\n\n## 2. Placing a Booking\n\nWhen you book a copy through Novelshift, you agree to provide:\n\n- Your full name\n- Your class/section (for identification and delivery coordination)\n- A valid email address\n- A password, used solely to let you check your booking status later\n\nYou are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. Novelshift is not responsible for delivery issues, delays, or mix-ups caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied at booking time.\n\n**Your password cannot be recovered if lost.** Keep a record of it. If you lose access to your booking status page, you may need to contact Novelshift directly with proof of your original email to resolve the issue.\n\n## 3. Final Sale Policy\n\n**All bookings placed through Novelshift are final once submitted.** By completing a booking, you acknowledge and agree that:\n\n- You cannot cancel a booking after it has been placed.\n- You are committing to pay the listed cash price in full at the time of delivery.\n- Refusing delivery, refusing to pay, or being unreachable for delivery does not cancel your obligation under these Terms, and repeated instances may result in future bookings being declined.\n\nIf you are not certain you want the book, please do not complete a booking.\n\n## 4. Pricing and Payment\n\n- All prices shown on the site are in the listed currency and are payable in cash only, at the moment the book is handed over.\n- Novelshift does not accept online payments, bank transfers, UPI, or any other electronic payment method through this website.\n- The price you agree to at booking time is the price you pay — Novelshift will not change the agreed price after a booking is confirmed, except in the case of a genuine listing error, which will be communicated to you before delivery.\n\n## 5. Delivery\n\n- Delivery timing and method will be communicated to you directly (in person, by email, or by the contact details you provided).\n- You are responsible for being reasonably available to receive delivery within the timeframe communicated to you.\n- Novelshift will make reasonable efforts to deliver the book in good condition, but delivery logistics may vary.\n\n## 6. Condition of the Book and Returns\n\n- Books are inspected before dispatch to the best of Novelshift's ability.\n- **Damaged, defective, or incorrect items:** if you receive a book that is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, please contact Novelshift as soon as possible with a description of the issue (and a photo, if possible). Novelshift will review reported issues on a case-by-case basis. [NOTE: this section should reflect your actual policy — the earlier version stated that damaged/wrong items won't be fixed even if reported, which is a risk to disclose clearly to buyers up front. Decide and state your real policy here before publishing.]\n- Outside of a genuine defect or delivery error, all sales are final per Section 3 and are not eligible for return or refund simply due to a change of mind.\n\n## 7. The Wish List Feature\n\nIf you use the Wish List feature to indicate you cannot currently afford the book, the information you submit (name, email, phone/WhatsApp, and the price you could pay) is sent privately to Novelshift and is not displayed publicly anywhere on the site.
